StretchMetal presents Empyrean Echoes, an album by Anthony Hemberger. A letter to the listener:

"Empyrean Echoes began with a thought about what happens after death, while I was reading Dante's "Divine Comedy '' The imagery conjured in the paradiso passage brought a lot of conceptual ideas to the project. After I began recording for Echoes it started to mold into something more than just that one idea and began to be a vehicle for me to express a lot of emotions and feelings through the sonic landscapes.

Mostly using the guitar as a base (an instrument I have played in my group FFHKS and through other solo monikers I have used to create sound) i would create loops using large amounts of Echo and Fuzz and then begin layering other sounds over that backdrop: sounds like my voice, a saxophone, other horn instruments, general field recording noise, and the occasional Synthesizer. The key to all the music I have ever made is Improvisation, I make music that is in that moment and it captures these moments in time where I feel creative enough to explore what can be pulled from myself. The goal with creating this and many other projects I have made over the years is to alleviate my own anxiety and bad feelings by projecting them into the sound and I hope that the sound can do the same for anyone who listens.

My plan is to broaden this album's theme into a Trilogy that I am working on currently called "Echoes" so please if you enjoy this material I hope you will enjoy more from this series.
